New Portfolio

21/11/2009

I’ve finally made a new portfolio for my illustrations and photography, which is now the home page of h2ogd.com. I chose for a very clean black and white layout so most of the attention will be drawn to the artwork. With the launch of the new portfolio, I’ve added some of my recent work including a set of posters and photography for slashTHREE’s Steampunk.

Illustrations

The first illustrations have finally made their way to the showcase section. The images added are hand drawn typography experiments, digitally post processed. They can be found in the showcase section as well, in a larger size.

A fresh look

15/09/2009

I got tired of the old, dark blog theme, so I edited the colors to what you’re looking at right now. I hope you agree that this is a major improvement. I also added a new picture to the showcase section, of which a bigger version is located over there!

I just returned from my trip to Berlin, the capital of Germany: a very lively city with a huge amount of history and culture and both modern and historic aspects. The trip was very versatile, relaxing and inspiring, and on top of that a great opportunity to take many photographs.

The spacious and artistic apartment was located in the middle of Schöneberg, a very clean area with lots of trendy bars and sushi restaurants.

Some of the pictures taken during the trip will be added to the showcase section soon.

White is the new black, they say. When you look at trends in web design, it’s true: white has been the new black for quite a few months now. But when I saw the WordPress theme Vostok by Javier Cañada and Rubén Lozano, I couldn’t restrain myself from getting it. If you whish, call me a lazy bum for not designing my own theme, but I feel like this simplistic, easy-on-the-eye theme - which you are looking at right now, after a few tweaks to meet my needs  - fits my blog perfectly.

Anyway, this blog is still fresh as can be, so expect a high posting rate during the coming days! A showcase section wil be added in the future, so you can see what I’ve been up to myself, as graphic designer / photographer. For now, enjoy the work of others!
